The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 ("RERA") requires real estate projects and agents in most Indian states to register with the relevant state RERA authority before being marketed or sold. PropIntel operates across multiple states — Karnataka, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh — each with its own RERA authority and registration portal. This page explains how RERA registration is reflected on PropIntel and what the "RERA Verified" label does and does not mean.
When a Builder or Channel Partner account shows a "RERA Verified" badge, it means our team has reviewed the RERA registration number and certificate the account holder submitted, and that submission was approved by an administrator. It is an internal review step, not an independent legal audit, and not a substitute for verifying a project's registration status directly with the relevant state RERA authority.
Builders listing projects on PropIntel are required to hold a valid RERA registration for any project that legally requires one, and to provide their RERA registration number as part of onboarding. Builders are responsible for ensuring their registration remains current and for promptly updating PropIntel if a project's RERA status changes.
Channel Partners operating as real estate agents are required to hold a valid RERA agent registration where their state mandates it, and to submit their registration number and certificate for review. We do not activate full CP access until this review is complete.
We encourage every buyer and investor to independently verify a project's or agent's RERA registration before making any financial commitment. You can do this directly on the relevant state authority's portal:
If you believe a listing or Channel Partner on PropIntel is misrepresenting their RERA status, please report it to marketing@karthikey.in and we will review the account promptly, which may include suspending access pending re-verification.
This page describes Karthikey PropIntel's internal review process and does not constitute legal advice. RERA requirements vary by state and project type — always confirm directly with the relevant state authority.
